The Association of Professional Nurses of Saskatchewan (APNS) is committed to empowering nurses to influence policy and shape a more inclusive, resilient, and compassionate healthcare system. In partnership with the DAISY Foundation, the APNS DAISY Nurse Leader Award in Advocacy honours a nurse from any of the four designations who embodies the commitment to champion initiatives that enhance nursing practice, elevates the role of nurses in health system decision-making, and contributes meaningfully to the ongoing development of the profession through impactful advocacy leadership.
By recognizing the transformative contributions of Saskatchewan nurses, the award highlights the essential role of nurses in shaping healthier communities, improving the practice environment, and amplifying the unified voice of the profession. This award celebrates those who inspire progress, uplift colleagues, and lead with integrity, passion, and purpose.
