APNS Administrative Support

APNS is seeking a Office Administrator. A successful candidate for this position will work from a home office and assume a variety of interesting responsibilities including:

  • Prepare correspondence and reports and meeting information. 

  • Customer service

  • Schedule of monthly executive meetings

  • Minute taking, transcribing, and distribution

  • Website maintenance

  • Maintain membership data base 

  • Respond to inquires

  • Maintain financial records, including invoicing for services. 

  • Reconcile financial records and monitor monthly payment schedule in collaboration with the treasurer. 

  • Maintain marketing materials in collaboration with the communication team. 

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Drive, Google email and Google docs. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Participate in Annual General Meeting 

  • Understanding of Robert's Rules 


Working Conditions:

Candidate that fills this position will work from a home office. The candidate will supply a computer, with internet access and access to other office equipment as appropriate. Ability to travel as required. 

This position is approximately 8 hours per week on average with additional time required at key times throughout the fiscal year. 


Post-secondary education in business, computer or office management 

Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office environment.


Knowledge, skills and abilities

Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:

  • Word processing

  • Databases

  • Spreadsheets

  • Bookkeeping

  • E-mail

  • Internet
